Year A — Session 2
Small Group Tasks – 4 Options for Session 2:
- #1 SYSTEMIC STYLES OF LEADERSHIP: Ask whether anyone in your group was particularly interested in the adaptive of emergent leadership styles of Heifetz or Wheatley. How would a leader be different if they focused on re-envisioning their organization’s purpose or embracing change as positive?
- #2 NARRATIVE STYLES OF LEADERSHIP: How does “knowing your own story and living it” change the way you lead – at home, work, or church? If the God-stories of the Bible are at the heart of Christian faith, how does knowing and living them affect the ways we lead?
- #3 HUMBLE STYLES OF LEADERSHIP: Can Christians be leaders in the world and followers of Christ at the same time? In what ways was Jesus a ‘humble leader’? Does being Christ-like mean imitating Jesus’ style of humble leadership?
- #4 GOD’S STYLE OF LEADERSHIP: What do your think of God’s “leadership style”?! Using what you’ve learned about leadership thus far, how would you describe the way you imagine God’s leadership qualities or approach?
